Who We Are
We are ordinary people coming from diverse backgrounds and upbringings journeying together doing the best we can to wholeheartedly love God and make a positive impact in culture.
Our merge community is in a season of restoration, we are publicly gathering twice a month. Serving the poor at the Food Shelf and Worshipping God together at Drum and Easel. We are also encouraging people to organically gather together with one another for community and continue to wholeheartedly love and serve our neighbors.
Pastors Peter and Jessica Wohler have worked with Source Mn. Inc (www.sourcemn.org) for over fifteen years. Being involved in outreach, over time they saw a need for a church to come along side of the faith base non-profit that was intergenerational to encourage and help people grow with Christ in all areas of their lives for the rest of their lives.
Our heart is that Merge would be a place of home and family for the unchurched and over churched. We started gathering for worship services in 2009 and after a couple of years stopped doing our weekend services in order that we could build a healthier foundation focusing on a discipleship culture. In 2012 Merge re-launched with the focus of discipleship as a priority. From this discipleship group, two Missional Communities were launched in 2013; an exciting step to seeing our vision of Merge become a network of MCs around the city. (MC is a group of 20-40 friends and family nurturing community and coming around a network or neighborhood)In 2013 we also began meeting regularly for worship services in a larger location. As we establish a discipling culture, God is showing up transforming individuals, helping us live into healthy life rhythms, growing our community, and helping us to be aware of the needs around us in order that we can make a positive impact in the city.
